'Rockin' Learning with Student-Created Music Videos Using IMovie' Room 402
Beginner level educators will see how educational music videos, which can be used to support literacy in History, Science, & Technical Subjects satisfies the CCSS Career/Readiness Anchor standards in writing production/research, which requires students to "produce and publish writing and to interact and collaborate with others." It also supports both Speaking and Listening anchor standards by "integrating and evaluating information presented in diverse media and formats, including visually, quantitatively, and orally."

Blogs aren’t just about reflection; they are flexible tools you can use in a variety of ways to run your class, organize your materials, collaborate with colleagues, share your discoveries, and inspire your students. This session will include lots of examples and cover some key blogging skills such as, adding links and images, scheduling a post in advance, posting via email and customizing your sidebar. Common Core expects students to publish online, blogs are the best way to get that happening in your classroom. Thinking of starting a class website?
